The Need for Stronger, Safer Buildings in the Heartland

Few can deny that the rapid pace of modern technology is changing the way we live, work and play. What was state of the art on Monday is often old school and outdated by Friday. You name it – transportation, entertainment devices, computers, medical services and much, much more. From the way we grow the foods we eat to the clothes we put on, technology is changing around us at an amazingly fast pace. If someone from a hundred years ago was suddenly transported into 2016, few things would be recognizable to them with the exception of the manner in which homes and buildings are constructed.  Remove the bricks and drywall from around the house to expose the skeleton and it would be identical to the manner that was use more than 100 years ago, but why?

Has building technology and building science somehow not advanced, been overlooked and left behind? Is it impossible to build homes and buildings that can survive destructive weather patterns, wildfires, floods and earthquakes? Is it even possible to build homes and buildings that won’t rot, rapidly deteriorate, harbor insects, rodents and promote the growth of mold and mildew inside the walls?

Come spend the morning with us and learn modern building methods and materials that even many builders may not yet be aware of. Building technology has made huge strides in the last few decades that are unfortunately being ignored and unused by the greater majority within the building community. From Builders to Bankers and everyone in between, come spend just 4 short hours to learn how to produce homes and buildings that can survive the Heartland of America’s unique and sometimes hash environment.

If you’re looking to build in the near future, you absolutely need to attend to learn of the many cost effective possibilities that are already available. Knowledge is power and without knowledge, choice to use building science in your favor to build homes and buildings with that are stronger and safer may not be available to you. Don’t trust that your builder will employ these methods and materials, insist on it! Don’t make the mistake and let opportunity pass you by – it might very well be a life or death decision you’re making for both you and your family.

As stronger, safer, healthier and more energy efficient homes are built and offered to the public, lives will be saved, property damage will be lessened, energy usage will fall and insurance rates will be reduced. The cheaply constructed, unsafe and disposable homes being built today will be replaced with those that will save lives and energy, and will last decades or even centuries longer.

Like Days of Yore –

Automakers of the 1960’s cried foul when Ralph Nader authored and published his book - Unsafe at Any Speed, and brought to the public’s attention just how unsafe cars were being built and offered to the public. When called to testify before Congress, automakers threatened that if they were forced to design-in safety measures, Americans would stop buying cars and Detroit would become a ghost town. Obviously car sales didn’t stop, yet the designing-in of greater safety measures into automobiles has saved hundreds of thousands of lives in the past 50 + years. Today’s automakers no longer race each other to the bottom line by offering the most striped down version possible, quite the opposite. Today’s automakers race each other to creating the safest cars on the road with the highest standards of safety possible.

Like automakers of yore, Builder’s will lament and say home sells will drop, but known facts prove the opposite will happen.

As stronger, safer, healthier and more energy efficient homes are offered to the public, lives will be saved, property damage will be lessened, energy usage will fall and insurance rates will be reduced. The cheaply constructed, unsafe and disposable homes offered today will be replaced with those that save lives and energy and last decades or even centuries longer.

Building science will build you a stronger reputation while saving lives, energy and money

Don’t be the problem – be the solution!
